On Friday I helped out on ELLE Beauty Editor Zanele Khumalo's December shoot. Beauty shoots are a long process. I have to respect make-up artists. It's definitely an art. Terrence Bray presented an interesting collection. I liked the sheer cut-out panels and the dress with the chiffon leaf-like layers. I have to admit that my knowledge of menswear is quite limitted. My opinion for how a man dresses is usually that simple, well-cut clothes are foolproof. The show did have some great eye-candy though, and the ladies were definitely loving it. Abigail Betz show is probably the best that I have seen so far. It was interesting from the moment we sat down. The stage was split by a fine curtain which showed the models gliding across one side like ghostly figures before we saw the intricate detailing on the lace, heavy silks and frills. I got a little bit of a Victoriana element but also a chinois feel with the win-stained lips and curls.

We were transported to a Parisian Cabaret at Lunar's show. There was a live singer and the clothes were Parisian street kids gone glam. There were light shifts in silk and lots of layers. The trouser look has been big all year, and there is no sign of it dying down anytime soon. I have to say, I do love this look. Light layering and draping was given a sort of grunge appeal for the men at Gideon. The ladies got a clean layered look, which also had a samurai feel to it.
