Mr. Nagel's combination of distressed shirts, sheer underwear & shiny embellishments was the recipe for an off-kilter show, that worked better than most of the shows we have seen this week. This was fashion as art. The non-models, who looked like they had either gone through electric-shock treatment or had stepped out of a 19th century portrait, made the collection more subversive & was also a great way for us real people to think, "That is something that I could wear too!" How would one wear this you might ask? I am a big fan of white shirts & I could use a few with distressed ruffle details on the sleeves, for extra interest. The skirt & dress with a sheer over-lay are just beautiful. As for the mesh bras, fashion has been flirting with underwear as outwear for years, now we have some other options for the look.
