When Greenside Became East London

On Thursday night I found out where all the Joburgers who have been to London, or want to channel a bit of the London style, are going to shop- The Street.

At the launch were Jozi's funky kids, styled-up like have not seen in Jozi yet. It made me long for hi-tec Saturdays at 93 Feet East and chilled out Sundays at Cafe 1001, on Brick Lane.

There were some Topshop clad guests (I'm really starting to appreciate the High Street now that I don't have access to it), and we drank Vitamin Water and Cocktails in recycled glass jars, which I found to be a very cute (& eco-friendly) touch.
I'd love to see a more South African representation of fashion, rather than the import of London style. That certain breed of London style is kind of typical now, anyway. It was fun all the same and I'll be heading that way when I feel a longing for a Spitafields-style fashion fix. Enjoy & stay fab! xxx

-I love the guys' outfits in these pictures. Boys' clothing is so effortlessly cool. I seem to be doing a lot of girled up masculine looks lately, and now I've figured out why!

-Also love the red-headed girl. She had this quiet cool about her. I like how she was pretty shy and resevered but you notice her none-the-less. Style is way more intriguing that way.
